ARACHNOPHOBIA: Enter the Lair by TheDoodMan ARACHNOPHOBIA: Enter the Lair by TheDoodMan
After looking at this for a while I decided to make it into the den of a crazy spider creature.

Render made using: Bryce 5.5 (First time using Bryce )
Post-Work: Photoshop CS2
Brushes used:

Special thanks to: for inspiring me through art and convincing me to get Bryce 5.5

So far, no one has noticed the skeleton unless I mention something. He's in the top left, he got OWNED by the spider.

Hope you all enjoy it! Please Comment/Critique/Give advice, I need to improve. :+fav:'s are greatly appreciated.

Doodman i knew u were good but i never expected u to be this beastly!=D frankly when i look at this i feel like im in a tunnel. problem is this tunnel is slightly pixely! like some of the strands at the beginning look awfully sharp. a bit too sharp in fact! it might be the fact that ur image is just so big that when it is shrunk it looks like that but if that is true why not create a second image with a smaller size and jsut adjust that one with the smooth tool? now compared to the rest of the image the slime in the top left corner looks 2d. i would actually sharpen that a smidge to get a more of a liquid look but not too much or else it will have the same problem the strands in the bottom left corners have(the too sharp prob is the one im talking about. i would also sharpen where this tunnel ends as well but not too much.

now the skele i dont see. i see something wrapped up or is that a skull? well watevr... for something that is almost 3 years old it looks amazing! =D i'll go criticize some of ur newer works that arent too dark... or disturbing...

Haha thanks. The problem with the pixelation is that this was an experimental piece. It was my first render using Bryce 5.5 then I just played with it for 14 hours in Photoshop. That slime was a last minute addition which was also a render.

This is plain awesome. The contrast and the lightplay really catches my eye.
